Information Flow in the Group Stability Model
Note: in order to run the simulation referred to in this slide, go here, to the Java Applet version. You will be directed to download the latest version of the Java plug-in.
In the Group Stability model, agents that connect to each other share information. In particular, each agent in a pair randomly selects a fact that he knows and "communicates"; it to the other agent. If the other agent does not already know this fact, he then learns it, adding the fact to the set of facts that he already knows. Agents share knowledge simultaneously.
A society is provided for demonstration. Upon pressing "Go", the agents in the society will connect, and each agent will share a single fact with his partner. Please press "Go" as many times as you wish to see the agents share knowledge.
