Continuing to plot Balkanization for different values of agent preference results in a characteristic family of curves. To show this family, we've plotted the Index of Balkanized Affiliation against both access and agent preference in the graph below (1). Each data point is gathered from 200 different societies. As before, each society is composed of 30 agents of five types, given three channels each. As you can see from the graph, Balkanization is decreasing with agent preference for diversity at all points.
1We've omitted values at the preference value of 1 because of the discontinuity already mentioned.
